"What is the Buck Brothers sound? The 4 Ps - Predatory, Power, Punk, Pop. Incredibly catchy or annoyingly hummable. A sounds that your mother wouldn't openly approve of but would secretly sing to herself on the quiet."
Buck Brothers are the world's first Anglo-Austrian-Swedish band and are based in London (UK). The three Bucksters met accidentally in January 2005 at the unlikely setting of a suburban Buddhist Disco in Stoke Newington in North London. Being the only three men in attendance with hair on top of their heads - Andy, Pete and Horatio found themselves backed into a corner after the disco turned into a sedate chant-fest.
The three lads quickly discovered that they had more than just follicular abundance in common and joined forces at a Hackney rehearsal studio a week later. And it was here that the Buck Brothers sound was born.
Their debut North American release, 'The World According to Buck' EP (released October '05), was play listed on over 400+ college radio stations throughout the United States and Canada with heavy rotation and chart placements aplenty. In addition, the band was recently nominated as 'Best International Artist' at Toronto Independent Music Awards for the second year in a row. As well as attending the event, Buck Brothers' Andy Duke also presented the award for 'Best Alternative Artist' at the ceremony. Buck Brothers have also been nominated in the same category at Inland Empire Music Awards, Southern California Music Awards and Orange County Music Awards. The band also performed at NXNE (North By Northeast) - Canada's Largest Music Festival, NEMO Festival in Boston and recently took Toronto by storm at CMW - Canadian Music Week. The band's full length debt album, "Me", was released on 26 February 2007 in the USA (Coach House Records), UK (Cargo Records/Fading Ways) and Canada (Scratch Records/Fading Ways) with other territories to follow.
